Wild Rangers Class

Children will be inspired to explore the natural world through ancestral skills, science, geography, natural play, primitive cooking, fishing, plants, animal tracking, tide pool exploration, and hands-on wilderness skills.

This class is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire a lasting appreciation for learning and exploring in the outdoors. Students are encouraged to ask questions, take thoughtful risks, and develop independence as they engage with nature through hands-on activities, observation, and teamwork—all while spending meaningful time away from screens. Through learning age-appropriate survival skills—such as navigation, shelter building, outdoor safety, basic tool making, and primitive cooking—students build resilience, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of responsibility for themselves, their peers, and the natural world. Along the way, they discover that the outdoors can be an exciting, engaging, and rewarding place to learn.
